What can KFFL teach my child?
KFFL Youth Class approach is multidisciplinary in nature: Teaching focus is not only on self-defense movements, but also on conflict resolution, personal responsibility, and conflict avoidance.
Kung Fu can be used to reinforce good habits and life skills that are already being taught at home.
Life skills include:
The structure of the Kung Fu classes can greatly help in the areas of improving attention span, respect, demeanor and self control. Individual results will vary. Our instructors are firm, but friendly, excellent in skill, and know each student by name.
Children with a healthy self–respect and a strong physical outlet for their boundless(!) energy are much less likely to bully others or to be victims of a bully at school. Kung Fu training will channel your child’s energy and give him or her the self-respect and good judgment to avoid picking on others or being picked on.
At Kung Fu for Life the training atmosphere is a safe and wholesome one. Those who come into our studio often make many new friends. The group classes are useful in helping youth to set a goal and follow through on it. Kung Fu is a wonderful and constructive way for a young person to spend some of their free time.
